In conjunction with Shoreditch Festival and the Tour de Hackney, Trixie Chix and London Brick Lane Bike Polo are putting together this Invitational. They are expecting 5,000 riders so we'll have a great audience and we'll be playing in a new court.

right now I need 2 things:

-teams to register (here for now), and
-volunteers that have their feet in London

This will be the 1st Shoreditch Invitational. So perhaps teams could represent their 'hoods. Peckham, Chelsea, Paris, holla back y'all!!!

roxy/chris - i'm shit (as object will testify) but am expat/american, and do enjoy the polo and will get in as much practice as possible this summer. go team america maybe?

You're skills lack but that'll come with practice. What better way to force yourself to get better than start "training"

exactly. few beers and few games every sunday or other sunday, and i'll be sorted! first thing: stay on bike.

I'd say first thing is learn how to fall properly :]
Then learn to stay on your bike once you know how to hit the deck.

Awesome, I doubt I'll be playing as I'll probably be a bit busy, plus when I beat everyone you'll all say it was a "set up" and I don't need the drama. [actually if I won it would have to be set up]

However I do happen to know an american polo player who will be moving to Paris in July and looking to play. His team came in 3rd in the East Coast Invite here and 2nd in the Midwest....

BUT, whether he plays for team Panampolo or Team America [fuck ya] is sort of up to who tags him first.

....All that said, he's actually canadian, soooooo........

Oooh, and all sorts of a one-of-a-kind Archie Gro-Bag has just been thrown in as a prize.

Correct. There are now (at least) two london polo tournaments this summer. I'm not entirely sure which one Zombie RMY are legitimate champions of, so I'm going to assume they'll be defending their title at both :)

The Film festival tournament is October 5th, near the rest of the festival at/around the Barbican.

So we will be defending at the first tournament and only at the second if we're still champs...
