Honestly, I don't think the canal is a good idea. very narrow. I already find it hard to ride just by myself, let alone in a half drunken state with 30 people at night. Also populated with drunks and other unpleasant characters. prefer open road

The canal idea was suggested for a Sunday morning, in the daytime, sober.

Still, I've ridden the Grand Union a few times with the gf and the bridge underpasses are only a wide enough for one bike.
It's quite cool for a quiet trundle along but I'm not sure a crazed bunch of alcohol-starved fixers would suit canal path rides.
You'll need bells according to the tow path user guide thingie too :) "Two Tinks"
Are the paths closer to the city much wider than the ones out west?

Well done mareeoh and MA3K for leading the ride, it needed someone like you to pull the group togerther at time e.t.c.

Oh and a stoke of genius on primrose hill with badriders bike, I don't know how you two kept your patients that ugly dude was getting on my tits.

Well done everyone that turned up one of the things that made it was the number of people. Well done all.

No, he was loitering with intent in Primrose hill at 4 AM with a bunch of his thug mates, playfighting alpha-male bullshit.
He must have been the runt of his group, he had a Ralpha London fields hat on so to his friends he was the eccentric one who liked bicycles and weird shit like that.
He just took a unhealthy intrest in badriders custom-jobby and wouldn't leave off banging on about "give us a ride mate" and you know if he'd set off down that hill you'd not see him again less you chased him down and d-locked him off the bike.
Just don't need that shit at 4-5 in the morning.

I don't know if anyone remembers but the end of his charm offensive was something along the lines of "give us ago or I'll stamp all over your green rims until they are all crumpled" or something with that jist any way.

I disagree, the staircases made it funny as fuck, this wasn't set out to be a long ride in the countryside.

Apropos shouting, I have access to two sets of walkie-talkies and will bring them next time.
