Solid wheels for a fixie

I'm hoping someone can help, i'm looking for plastic wheels for my fixie. can't afford carbon disks so i thought that plastic would be ideal. have seen some guys with them on and i think they're 5 spoke.

Any ideas where to get them or who makes them....
Cheers

The only five spoked wheel I can think of is called an Aerospoke. They make these wheels out of Carbon. The Carbon wheel is laced to a velocity rim. I'd steer clear from buying a plastic spoked wheel, for it would be way to heavy than it's worth.

an aerospoke is carbon composite rather than carbon fibre.

plastic is ideal for lots of things but not road bike wheels
over 100 years of research and development has brought you extruded aluminium rims, brass nipples and stainless steel spokes.
have you considered using these?

or are you racing at the velodrome or time trialling competatively?

I reccomend the DIY approach.

What you need is some sticky back plastic, 10 washing up liquid bottles and some cable trunking...

Well if you look at fashion (clothes) over the last few years then maybe its not that the people are actually gay. Many of the clothes designers and make up artists are that way inclined and those at the top have a huge influence over what trickles down to the main stream. I had to endure living with a fashion designer for 2 years. Basically you now have a situation where both st8 and gay guys are dressed in a very gay way, including hair styles. Lots of eye candy for those of a certain persuasion. And now we have gay bikes!!

Thanks to all for the replies.
Excuse my ignorance but i didn't realise quite how much BS came with the fixed community.
Cheers Dave P for the heads up about Aerospoke. Have looked around on the net and it seems they have no major probs, will get my sister to buy some in the US and send them over.

Jesus Christ! What planet are you on? That's the sort of crap my bigoted grandfather used to spout. His excuse was that he was born in 1899 - what's yours?

the world I am in is how it is. I have my own eyes and I call it as I see it with out consideration for what is considered or not considered socially acceptable at the time.

Over the last 5 years I have seen a huge increase in the number of guys dressing in a very gay way.

Get over your self.

you said that many clothes designers and make up artists are "that way inclined"
do you have any proof of this or are you just talking utter shit again?

But then we could say that for almost everything said in the "other" thread.
