Yup, they are pretty bike friendly on the eurostar when I used it last summer. Even if you don't tell them in advance you just gotta pack it down - I wrapped mine in bin liners and masking tape!

Can anyone recommend a decent (cheap) cycle bag or case for using on plane.

Yeah, a cardboard box.

Eurostar is great, used it many times. A good tip though is to get to the front of the boarding line. That way you get your bike onto the train first and can swing those metal grates down and store your bike better.

I think they specify that the box shouldn't exceed:
L : 200cm
H : 100cm
W : 50cm

Called Tele-Spargel "asparagus". Berlin is fantastic apart from the fact that there is no jobs.
It must be no. 1 broke captial of Europe. having 60 Billion debt and unemployment rate of 20%

I have been to the atomium. ( to body centered cubic Iron-carbon structure a.k.a "steel" for the non- engineers onboard )
It is very cool to take the escalators through the connections. but the inside is covered with silly TinTin Comics (also belgian) at display which
take a bit the awe for the architecture away

I was in Berlin at the weekend. The keirin cafe is awesome! Really friendly guys.

Also that city is so respectful of cyclists, cars actually stop to let you pass. It is a shame there are no jobs.
