Just flew back from Milan today, after a couple of days there for Salone Del Mobile, and BA lost my bike bag, with bike, shoes, lock, tools etc... It's actually still in Milan and they promised a return within 24hrs, but still annoying. On my way out there I spent the day at T5 after a missed flight (the time between check-in and takeoff is longer than at T1 so I got done), and a broken plane which left me stranded on the tarmac for a few hrs. Oh and did I mention the broken escalators? Shut down announcement panels? Delay this morning because of congestion at T5?...

just wanted to rant.

us normal folk don't get to use planes...i feel your pain none the less.

One Additional piece of oversized checked luggage allowed for free as long as it's.......wait for it.......sports equipment. i.e. snowboards, a golfbag, or a bike

After BA banned carrying surfboards altogether , virgin stopped charging extra and started taking them for free. Aparantley it had to do with T5's new baggage systems. they already had my custom but they won it again after that

Hell yeah, Virgin rocks. Particularly when it's flying to New York, for work, in Upper Class with my bike in the hold.

Last summer was soooooo good :-)
