| | Stolen: Archies Grobag + Camera Kit contents I am pissed off. At 22.31 on 10th April at the Verge Bar (top of Brick Lane nr Polo Courts), I had my Burgundy Grobag stolen from my feet just as I was leaving by two tall white males. The contents included my camera kit, clothes and my ipod. I have spoken to Mark the manager and he can give me the CCTV footage. Just what I don't need as I'm about to go full-time freelance. Bag looks like this: ![]() Please keep an eye out. I'm sure it's been stripped and dumped by now. I couldn't see anything straight away (jumped on my bike looking immediately), but I'm going back in the morning for another look. Take care people, don't forget it's not just your bike you need to look after... |

| Blog Entries: 5 | thats a real shitter :-( ben if you need kit and don't have a hire account then you can borrow mine at the pro center if you need to. what is it with the east and crime? so much stuff gets nicked around there i can't see the attraction of living/socialising in a crime hotspot? |

Bike theft, bike vandalism, bag theft, intimidating hoards of little thugs beating up on people. The area has got to be the worst shit-hole in London. Time to search for a new polo field?

Yep there lies the problem too high a wealth gradient. I live in a fairly shitty area, but the areas surrounding it are shitty, problem solved.

| | bad bad bad bad bad bad bad. photoben my home insurance replaced some electrical gear and gave me about half the value of other things in my bag, when stolen from a west end pub a few years back. This is the only experience of claiming I've ever had. I learned from this. I am not a liar by nature but I wish I was, sometimes. Always claim for every little thing in there, and I reckon if you can't provide receipts, proof of how much things will cost to replce might help them be convinced not to try and short change you the smaller stuff. good luck hope you get you all-important camera replaced fast. |

| | I see a good advert for 'archie's Grobags' in there somewhere....:) Two guys rob the bag from the pub.....run off down the road...they check inside the bag and find it full of expensive camera equipment....camera then watches them run off down the road laughing to themselves with the Grobag before panning down towards a bin which is full of all the camera equipment....hehe Sorry...bad taste i know....but it'd be a great ad...:) |

| | *affects Dr. Nick voice* Good news everybody! Well, sort of. Got my bag back. Went to the spot this morning searching around for ages and saw it under a bush in the park opp the polo courts which was a massive relief. Obviously the ipod and kit were gone, but everything else was still there fortunately. Thanks for the offers everyone, I should be alright. It was my second best stuff, but gonna have to dip into my savings to replace which was meant to be emergency rent money for when I go freelance. Sucks. Good idea for an advert Scott ;-) |
