Road cranks and fixed-gear

ok,

so i have some tune road cranks, and a fixie with some goldtec wheels, 120mm spaced,

will i be able to get a good chainline with these cranks, chainring on the outer?

if so... anyone know what bb length?

thanks!

goldtecs are 45mm aren't they. should make it easier. probably a 103 or even 107. might have to go on the inner ring though.

eeehhhh
My Goldtecs have an 1/32" EAI cog on them, and they're 47mm. Where the hell BETD have got 45mm, I've no idea.

Sheldon reckons with an EAI 1/8th cog it's 46mm.

ok,

well if i get a 47mm chainline out of the goldtecs will i not be able to run the ring on the outer?

i am trying to build a perfect bike for myself so dont want any comprimise... the tune have the look and weight but dont want to use them if it s a bodge job?

double chainset...
"Shimano spec, measured to the midpoint between the rings.
with typical 5 mm chainring spacing, this puts the inner at 41 mm, the outer at 46 mm?"

am i daft or can i not assume that would be near perfect on the outer as long as i use a 110bb?

well if the crank spider is 2mm thick and you're currently getting a chainline of 45mm then by putting the chainring on the outside, yeah, it'll be 47mm.
