hi all, i've just done a search through the forum but i didn't really find what i was looking for. i'm currently using toe clip pedals but i'm really interested in trying clipless/platform. i would like to get something like this (one side clipless, the other side platform):
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=19411
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=25492
i was wondering if anyone here uses anything similar and could spare some thoughts about it. thanks!

how come? one-sided platform/clipless pedals can be a pain in the arse to get the right way up for clipping in. What's the reason for the change from clips & straps?

I use shimano m324's and love em, clipless for commuting and platform for polo/trackstand practice. I find getting into them fine as they are weighted so the clipless stay on top, they are fairly cheap but they are the pedals I keep going back to having tried others.

I have shimano M-324's. They seem to be weighted so that the SPD side is facing upwards by default. Perhaps worth a look. I'm getting rid of mine actually, since I now use clips & straps so they're overkill.

[E!]ah, beaten to it.

as far as i know you don't want to be putting a cage or straps on the other side of those plat form ones, just get clipless and you will be happy.

i coudn't find any, can you post any liks??

asm,
i want to change cause i'll be doing lots of road training and i would like to try clipless but also be able to commute with my normal shoes.
i don't have any bike shoes yet but i just got a new black crankset and my old silver pedals look pretty bad on the bike so as i'll be changing them i might as well try clipless (black)... i dunno, just thought i'd like to have the choice.

i tought about the shimano m-324 but i think they only come in silver (right?!).

+1 for Shimano m-324's. they're easy to clip into and the platform part is solid, and they're pretty cheap.

good for commuting and for riding to the shops/pub when you don't want to wear SPD shoes.
