Royal Inn on the Park sounds great. Venue sorted (hopefully).

Not sure about Monday though. If this is going to be a regular thing, we need to get people coming down every week for a few pints. Wednesday's are normally better for that sort of carry on. It only clashes with South London Polo, and not sure many people from East go to that. What do people think?

I'm easy though. I'll come no matter what day it is.

Only thing is they don't do food on a monday. Maybe Tuesday and then Trixies could roll down after? *hides from potential Trixie vengeance*

Or Wednesday cos I can't see too many easties going south for polo... No offence intended, Southers :P

First thing I though as soon as I saw the thread title TBH.

Either Browns or the Griffin. I, err, 'watched' the Yids in Europe last week in the Griffin.

agreed - royal inn on the park.

but when the weather brightens - the palm tree, sit outside, in a park, by the canal, sipping beer, listening to the houseband, the palm trio.

Sano (and anyone else) RIotP on Tuesday. Seems to be as close to consensus as you're ever likely to get.
Lets go for it and if we don't like the place we'll ride to a different one.

these are all good venues. we can change the venue each meet. all we gotta do is post it on here. after all we are all mobile te he.

but i think the date should be the same each month. so we all know second tuesday or third wednesday or first thursday (of the month) is the night we meet our fixed friends in east london. somert to look forward to and plan around. people can always meet in between if they want.

wednesdays is best for me but i can work around other nights.

but shall we just get started ?

shall we go with fruitbat suggestion and meet at the palm tree e3 next tuesday 25 march 2008 ? and take it from there ?

if you cant make it dont worry we will be meeting again soon.

i think it has something to do with a sausage, and possibly no women. i think it's an uncouth americanism.

if brown's is busy, we can always go to metropolis, or images.

the lady owner of images got fined £10,000 for letting the clientele 'touch' the ladies. i read it in the east end paper, so it must be true.
