Was quite a good ride in the end, by the time we'd cycled to the ferry and got lost on the way to the first check point we managed 73 miles...

The hills were just about manageable fixed though coming down blackgang I looked a wee bit like road runner.

Didn't see any SS or fixed riders though? All carbon fibre or mountain bikes

good ride that. wicked to circle the island with our very own Tommy and a few old friends. kelvin sorry not to see you dude - but then we started a couple of checkpoints back from you (yarmouth) so v unlikely unless you were really chugging. it was a good ride yesterday and good to continue the tradition - that's five years in a row for me, fourth fixed.

nah worries jonny a random friend of a friend I invited when drunk came with us and wanted to get home as fast as possible, which spoiled some of the chance of the lgfss meetup.

I figure the other way round is harder though

I'm sorry I couldn't make it. Did 20+ miles walking the South Downs on Saturday and my legs wouldn't have handled it.

I went up to Richmond Park this afternoon and did laps as a penance.

Well done to the guys that did it.

jonny, looks like a lovely day. Nice.

Is it me or are there 3 people in this shot? You, Tommy, and a random ghost.

Oops forgot to get the pic off my camera last night. Must remember.

No W.I tea photos Jonny?;)

That clime in the background was i.m.o the best of the entire ride, smooth rode gentle and long gradient, real place where you can smoke anyone on gears.

i forgot to take any, was too busy wheezing and wolfing down jaffa cakes.... that climb you're the top of was a bit of a nightmare.

The onen that made me laugh was in the centre of cowes, with a great long descent into it took me five minutes to pshcye myself up for it zoomed off down the hill and just rolled to the top of the climb
