Manchester tournament isn't until 20th April, we need a little warm up tournament i think. in the next few weeks when some nicer weather comes about, BBQ and drinks and polo? yeah.. maybe a trophy yeah?

FYI We're in talks with the councils to put on a proper (funded) 2nd Annual Bike Polo Championship for June so start looking forward/training for that too!!!
(Have made it clear that we want their money but not their rules) If the council isn't happy doing it our way, we'll just throw our own again. Last year went so well that I have no fear this second one will be great!!!

an east v south is not going to be fair...most of the people that play south have not been playing as long as the people in the east.

How many people are playing in peckham?

aidan - surely it can just be london teams against each other if the peckham ppl aint that good. Your south london anyway ;)

6 or 13th april perhaps?

i know im south london...and i will be playing for the Peckham team but im only one person :)
if its divided into london teams then its not going to be much different to the first polo comp

just do a london teams comp - we can still do comparisons between south and east if that's your fancy

Can we also do a league type structure rather then the knock style we did last time. Get all the teams to play each other up and down the court and get points for wins and draws (maybe enforce a time limit??). At the end of day the team with the most points wins. That way everyone gets to play a few games.

london teams comp is good, maybe this is the cup... but we should have a league as well, a few of us have been talking about a league.. that we can play on sundays (not stopping the 'Pick up' games) or whenever the teams choose to organise a match?

it doesnt have to be east vs south.. just london teams but it would be nice to see a few east south bouts!

Hey! What we lack in skill, we make up for in sheer violence.

Well up for this, though. We may have to do a home and away leg. One Sat at Brick lane, next Sat at Peckham. I reckon the peculiarities of the Peckham car park may even up the games a bit.

you can still have a cup at the end of the day for the team with most points, it just means everybody get's to play everybody else and you don't get teams that play one game, get knocked out, then have to hang around scratching their asses.

p.s this has nothing to do with the fact the the my team got knocked out straight away at the prev tournament ;)
