Don't suppose you need to be re-inducted, but it won't hurt to repeat the process on a bike I've not ridden round there before...

PS. I'm going for an early season 81" (46x15).

Hmmm... Dunno whether to borrow one of HH's bikes or just whip my brake off, chuck a 15t cog on and take the Mercian round...
It's gonna shag my knees whatever happens, they're getting enough grief on 48x17 as it is...
It'll be a laugh anyway, 'til I wake up on Sunday of course... ;)

Just a gentle word of warning...the track needs to be bone dry to be safe enough to ride. Despite having no rain for days, morning dew can be enough to call the whole thing off. That was certainly the case in late October/early November when the temperature wasn't warm enough to dry it off. Its a bit of a dissapointment to get there, stand around for an hour waiting to see if it drys enough and then being told "no riding today"!

I hope it isn't...but I think 1st March might be wishful thinking.

Just though I'd add that in case anyone is thinking of travelling from the otherside of London. Don't want yer to be disappointed.

Doh!

So can someone remind me what are the session times?

Nice to meet you briefly teenslain - hope you enjoyed not riding round in that blasted wind.

Hello again Andy Airnimal - see you down there again soon.

It was a great day (apart from the wind, and apart from the massive metal staple that burst my butyl bubble and refused to come out the tyre without a fight - I was looking forward to winding up for a bit of a sprint at the end of the morning). Only takes a few goes being completely whipped by the junior riders to make you realize you don't need big gears (not that I was riding one). Gonna take a few weeks to get that speed endurance thing happening...

Yeah, you too... At least I got to chat to the HH guy and talk a few things through for the track day, which was useful... Bloody guttin' watchin' you lot fly around tho'! ;)
Knee feels a bit better this arvo, maybe the ride to HH and back's loosened it up a bit... See you down there again soon...
Joe :)

Fucking hell. I made an executive decision not to go, based on the weather forecast and the sense that a lot of water was itching to drop from the heavens when I went to the post office at 9am.

I did a masochistic turbo session in anger, and am now replete with dull aching legs, but it's not as much fun, is it.

Now it's 1pm - still no rain.

Damn you! God damn you all to HELL!!!
