Bit windy wasn't it? This would probably account for my hilarious lack of oomph last night... I was shown a clean pair of heels by a teenaged girl and couldn't even catch the five year old on the much-too-big-for-him-bike... As Aidan later pointed out, they were probably just more aero than I was... Good fun all the same, see some of you on Saturday...

I missed the induction again. And took lots of photos of an empty track as I couldn't work out how to coordinate the shutter speed with the sheer speed of the riders. I've got lots of photos of my knees if anyone is interested.

By the way, I think those children were born in lycra. The five year old reminded me of me on my first bmx; he was just racing up to the top of the banks and steaming down the straights grinning like a loon. I'm sure the bike was actually bigger than him.

really pissed got to help a friend move, so won't be able to do the 10.30 session, fingers crossed next week, if the weather holds, its looking fucking loverly today.

Just done my induction. I look like a beetroot! 20 laps in the fast paced group is a little beyond my current level of fitness and some hairy moments with the first group doing the top line too slowly. But a beautiful day for it, lots of people turning up for the 10.30 session - although fewer than the 150 the week before. Heaps of kids, all of whom would have lapped teenslain. I think the youngest was a 5 y/o. Large volumes of lycra.

Woulda been down today but shagged back (again!) and not gettin' back from UCH with a poorly gf 'til gone midnight last night conspired to keep me in bed this morning...
