Night ride, perhaps?

Yeah, agreed. If someone has a route planned, post it up and I will print out copies to give to everyone at the start. Might help so we don't have to stop every 2 miles.

If you believe the beeb, we'll have a 17mph tailwind pushing us all the way there. Sweet!

Have (hopefully) attached a cheatsheet. Unfortunately I can't make it - it's up to you whether you go this way or not!

(Edit) ok the file upload didn't work. I'll think of something else.

route looking good. with the weather being brighter I'm actually starting to look forward to it...
just realised that this map starts just down the road from me, in oval, so may get one of you boys to ring me when you're in full cry from hyde park corner so I can hook up with you as you motor towards clapham

Nothing wrong with gears. I'm tempted to ride the nice bike there and back.. but then I won't wanna be waiting around for punctures and shit and then the social aspect disappears and then I may as well just ride the hills out west.. what a fscking conundrum!

I disagree. Ride it geared and see how many times you can manage London to Brighton to London to Brighton before we've even made it there.

How much money?
Bearing in mind that I would guarantee my winning by stating "less than half" and locking hippy's bike up for him at the start of the ride ;]

I could probably do there and back before you make it there.. but it depends on one fatal failing not happening to me.. that is.. me getting totally and absolutely feckin' LOST!

Sometimes I struggle to navigate my way out of my studio flat.. it's that bad :)

Don't you work in the city?
I can pick you up from your office and escort you to the pub if you like. Then you can get a black cab home with your bike so that you don't get lost.

(I've stopped drinking again and training is on the up so don't need late pub nights.. makes me boring but more effective)

The horror!

No, when I drink now I make it worthwhile or I make sure work is paying and it's expensive :)

Just trying to cut out the smaller sessions. Not carrying 5kg of beer makes climbing easier.
