London Fixed-gear and Single-speed

an hour and a bit we were in caterham breaking bones and rippin lycra...now what's the distance between brixton hill and caterham? ;)

it's still three weekends away, no point looking at the forecast now. i predict sunshine and a 15degC on the 5th. seriously tho, that's after the clocks turn to summertime. which means 8am start is today's 7am....ie darkish and frosty (possibly)

No, most people were on fixed, except for last time when it was roadiescum bunch (too early or cold or something for the fixers :P)

I only have a fixed gear really unless I take my old mountain bike and I cant see that happening.

I have a suitable gear for this hill thing now so I hope to be able to get up it with relative ease.

the +1 was flickwg. i don't know that i'll be repeating the ride, we'll see how it goes. i do like BMMF's advice recently that the only way to alleviate the curse was to leave at 14:50 ... talking of which, did i see 50x14 is on the list somewhere? if so, great that you're still riding, i imagine you might have some brakes next time, eh?

rode London to Brighton today to shake off the birthday party hangover. anyway, it's still there, brighton, not the hangover. looking forward to the fifth and riding it with a little more than my thick head for company.

atk: There's some big hills to deal with. Brakes recommended.
