Anyone using those Vivalo-frames on the street btw?

I found a few posts in here saying that they can't handle the stress... is that true? or is it only the crashes they can't handle?
I'm getting a bit worried about the one i'm building up :(

well Vivalo cause a pile up during a keirin race so they lost there njs stamp and the company folded,
they have been taken over and are now called ocean, this new beast looks to be made for the streets,

your talking about an old vivalo though right?
they are like most keirin bikes, not the strongest of frames
but im sure lots of people will tell you otherwise
i have never owned one so....

Keirin frames are just as strong as most other proper steel-lugged track frames i.e. those frames made by a craftsman.
Mostly made from Columbus keirin (njs stamped Genius or Spirit tubes), Ishitawa/Kaisei, Dedacciai Zero Uno or Tange Prestige tubing.

Yea, the trend of binning expensive* track frames.
See some guy riding a bike that looks and behaves differently and wanting to emulate him, look at online forums for a month, get caught up with the 'steez', get connected with the local njs pusher-man, ride your spankin new Kiyo Miyazawa through the city chanting 'I'm a ninja, I'm a ninja', 'that person thinks of me as a ninja', 'that's because I am a ninja, I'm a ninja...' SMACK, POW, BING BANG BOSH'!!!! Damn these delicate keirin frames!! (which by the way were built and designed to withstand crashes at much higher speeds than that jackass would ever achieve, not to mention G-forces of snapping up and down the banks on a track)

Thousand dorah frame down the tube all because some fool couldn't pay attention to what was going on...

*which seem to only be expensive because everybody can't wait to throw them away?

Heh.. :)
Oh well, it should be able to handle my daily commute to work and back... i'm not planning on practicing any tricks on an expensive piece of artwork like this bike ;)

It is an old keirin-frame btw, not damaged in any way (except for a few dings in the paint here and there).
doesn't say what tubing was used, only that it's double butted cr-mo and that "Kusaka" did the build.

btw, i am a ninja :)
