| | coming from albert embankment heading straight east he tried to turn across me as i got onto the roundabout as i get up i noticed him stop in the middle of the road Lambeth bridge and get out so i moved towards him and he grabbed me with both hands around my throat squeezing and telling me that i had damaged his cab he went round to have a look at the non existent damage and then i reminded him that he had assaulted me and he tried to get out of it by saying that i had seen him indicate i had but i was already in front of him. as i retrieve my bike from the centre of the road he drives off. i give police a full description. was about 1pm. i hope he loses his badge. alot of things have happened to me on the road but i have never assaulted someone ever. . the haircut thing was it was neat and tidy and he had very thin hair and it was very neat and tidy like a fresh cut. no idea why i remembered that but when a nearly bald guy has his hands around your throat you notice the weirdest things |

| | just glad you're ok. some peeps really push some funny moods around. real cabbies do that job for years and years and should have learned to deal with the hectic ldn traffic by now ... one would guess, but hey, seems everyone has a braking point, when things mount up. ...maybe next time you avoid riding infront of cabbies with a fresh haircut. could well be, that the barber used some hot/itchy after shave on him and he suffered to no measure. ...or the quick, friendly london coffee girl screwed the pooch and gave him double espresso instead his decaf, who knows. glad you're fine and the old bill finds the fnarcer. |

| | cheers for this tip, i haven't had any trouble yet (except for the usual fuckwits thinking that cyclists must ride in bus lanes even if there are cars parked there, or you are turning right, or just generally think that cyclists shouldn't exist) but i imagine this would make someone think twice about getting into a ruck. not that i am big or strong anywayz. |

| | Having been on the receiving end of a very similar situation recently it's really horrible! Try and get the number plate from CCTV and follow it up with the police, I rang 999 on the spot and if anything like that happens to you I encourage people to ring 999 straight away. |

| | When some cunt smashed up my car with CCTV 50yrds away, plod couldn't give a fuck. I had to pay the council £50 to ask them to view CCTV. Unsurprisingly the CCTV 'wasn't working' on the day it happened. They told me this after I'd paid them. Good for fuck all Lambeth Council cunts! |

| | Unless the law's changed, this simply isn't true. CCTV footage, for the purposes of the Data Protection Act, is the same as any other personal information a public or private body holds about individuals - just like the details they might keep about you on a database. Under the provisions of the act, you have the right to view this data and they cannot refuse (except in exceptional circumstances). You have to write to the data manager requesting the footage from a particular camera at a particular time on a particular day and they have to provide it, subject to a "reasonable" administrative charge (probably the £50 Lambeth fleeced Pisti for). This is how it's supposed to work, at least. Of course most companies/bodies don't keep the data for very long, which is why you need to request it quickly. |

| | That kind of CCTV always works fine. Well the description of this chap and his taxi (which isn't black, so that's a good start) are quite good so maybe we could all keep an eye out and pass on hackney carriage numbers of likely suspects krk? Do you remember if this maroon cab had a vinyl/black roof or was it maroon all over? |
