Some advice on an eccentric BB...

I've caught sight of a potentially nice and cheap XC singlespeed frame with an eccentric BB on eBay. Does anyone know if these ones are solid, or do they creak like a rusty hinge? Also, what's up with that axle?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DAWES-XC-2-4-R...item27acda0ce5

Any help much appreciated...

Well it went for £45, must have had disk brakes on the bike originally for it to be fitted with a eccentric BB.

it has a simple pinch bolt arrangement so shouldn't creak.

Thanks for the info everyone. Was a bit last minute, and answers came in after it finished. Will keep my eyes peeled for another though.
