When you siad you had a power meter I tough you had one of these new catsey's computer with power erestimater not the full on propper job. You should just get some of those cranks with power output too!

SRM cranks are too expensive. Powertap is the poor man's option.

last summer, i stayed in the same b&b as the sunday bicycles racing team, some were using the power monitor hubs (cant remember which one) for training. serious stuff and seriously expensive. chuck the hrm out...it's one or the other isnt it?

new bike, new set of toys...no wonder you've stopped drinkin...that's like 2mths worth of drinks ;)

Powertap are hub-based. SRM are cranks. Polar do one that works it out based on chain tension or something?
You use the HRM alongside the power meter. Because you still want to know if you make more power for lower HR.
I like my Polar data anyway..

No, winning is what counts. Being at the front just means you're wasting energy better used for the bunch sprint or climb.
Go back to running :P

Anyway, you use the power meter in training, not so much in racing, although a lot of riders do now as there's less weight penalty these days.
Watch the tour and spot the little SRM transmitters under rider's saddles. . . race telemetry.

Hi, I went to the Peckham polo the other week...
It won't be built til atleast early April - I'm off to NYC end on March so I'll be looking for bits over there to bring back and build. Saying that, just won a silver Chris King headset last night on ebay.....£48 inc p&p from U.S. £120 from BLB!!? :-$

I'll try and put a pic of the frame up asap
