I'm looking to buy some Sidi road shoes (probably ZETA's) and i have a few questions.

Sizing: I know they're meant to be on the smallish size. I'm a 9.5 English sizing. Anyone know what this would equate to in Sidi sizing.

Cleats: I'm using Eggbeaters on my fix and Look on my road bike. I think I will be able to swap between 3-hole and 2-hole cleats. Am I right?

Price: Any ideas where would have them cheapest, discount codes etc.

Any advice gratefully received.

you need to try on any shoe for a good fit, i'd say...go to a shop

I'm 9 (43) normally, but 44 in Sidis. You might want to get a 45.

I have very narrow feet and there's room for a thick sock in winter. I add a 3mm volume insole thingy in the summer to take up the slack.

My old size 44 road sidis were perfect. My new size 44 mtb sidis seem to come up a bit wider. That's the way it goes with high-quality 'handmade' stuff.

trying to picture the bottom of my road sidis and not sure they will take a two-hole cleat set-up. not sure.

Sidis defo come up small though. am a 42 in all my other shoes, bike ones or otherwise. 43 in a Sidi.

i would also add that if you are in between sizes, get the smaller size, as they will stretch a bit!

But Lorica doesn't stretch. Another victory for vegetarianism :)

ive got the zeta. im normally 43eur, 9-9.5uk and 10.5us...but 44 in the zeta. there is a 2-bolt insert in the sole. dont know if this fits an mtb cleat as i havent tried, but spacing and position looks about right for mtb cleats i reckon.

got mine from velouk. cheapest one i found when i was looking around for shoe pedal combo. bought it with keo sprint.

i think they do stretch a little, when i first got my s46's, they were tight around my big toe, but now they're looser.

Sorry for the slight thread hijack but i'm still on topic ;-)
I'm in the market for some Sidi's too, but want to try some as I have wierd feet and have to have insoles. Who are the best bet to actually have some in shop in Central London?
Evans don't look particularly promising, I'm going to check 'On Your Bike' in Tooley St on the way home.
I dont mind about the style just want to get the size right, then i can buy on the net.

The Evans opposite Waterloo, which is more off-road oriented, has them too I think.

Zeta do indeed take MTB cleats, there's a tab on the bottom you have to take out. Yes, Sidi do size oddly so best to get in a shop to get fitted.

And do order from velouk.com...

If you are heading to Waterloo, better to go to the shop on the Cut rather than on Waterloo road. Bigger store, and you will get served / help quicker.

Sizes - go one size up from a regular shoe,
If width is a problem go for the mega's , same length just wider
Sizing Chart = http://velouk.com/sizes.asp

I agree with mike, buy them from
http://www.velouk.com
put the code below in at the checkout.
10% off code = Sidi10

thanks everyone. my impulse purchase can now be described as "thoroughly researched" to the missus.

Also, what do you think would happen if I put "sidi99" as the discount code?
