| Blog Entries: 5 | that element bike is just a large amount of bullshit. i can imagine the marketing department having a real brainwave over that one. "commitment to the enviroment and sustainable living" "inspired by elements logo and nature" this use of language induced a bile siccup that even a swig of Domaine de Piaugier sablet failed to nullify |

| | I was gonna post "What's a KRABO?" "renowned" but google says.. http://www.elementskateboards.com/ec...dex-krabo.html 15,000 hand-built bikes in 30 years. Over 1 bike per day, EVERY day of the week? Lots of hands they have. |

I can't believe people still employ tired pseudoprofundities like - "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step . . . " - the banal and apparent offered up as insightful wisdom, people can't get enough of that shit. And this last line simply makes no sense to me ? "Element will be a auctioning the bicycle to benefit environmental non-profits researched and approved by 1% For The Planet." I assume (by the use of capitals) that '1% For The Planet' is an environmental group of scheme or some kind - but the sentence seems to be saying the auctioning of this bicylce will benefit 'environmental non-profits' ? What the fuck is an environmental non-profit ? Anyhow, yet more co-opting of a very real problem to raise brand awareness, if they were genuinely committed to anything they (Nike) would quietly transfer several million dollars from their own accounts to the relevant NGOs - instead of making 5 bicycles and telling the world they are going to auction them off for the environment. EDIT: (Google search) 1% For The Planet is "An alliance of companies alliance of businesses that donate at least 1% of their annual net revenues to environmental organizations worldwide." - Strangely, what with their 'commitment to the environment and sustainable living' neither Nike nor Element are members. Messenger - a bicycle courier. Fakenger - the front half of 'fake' and the back end of 'messenger' welded to together to describe someone who dresses, rides and act like a messenger but is not a messenger. Forumenger - a further evolution of the same joke/denigration to describe someone who posts here on Lndfgss.com. Dmczone, you, sir, are a forumenger.
