Love the barbers pole paintjob on the seat tube.

Is that lining the real extent of the lugs from the bottom bracket? Thats crazy, I quite like it.

oooh... that mercian is lovely... and i like the shamals as well...
just a question: are the road-shamals (as opposed to the pistas) with 16 spokes good for fixed riding? Saw some clinchers for a decent price some time ago and was kind of thinking about getting those (put a track hub in the rear wheel).

It's not so much if they're good for fixed riding, it's the fact they are low spoke count wheels. You ride them regularly and they will self destruct in a hail of puppy-killing shrapnel.. maybe.

That's what was kind of worrying me... the low spoke count. Guess i'll stick to 32 or 36 spokes.

but they should be ok if on the front only...clinch or tubular..but i guess you are going to ride a bit longer distance right?or in town then a higher spoke count is probably better

Slavery news just in: The makers of the kevlar based Gran Compe SS white tyres are coming out with fluro green to complement the pink ones seen earlier.

No no no.

'tis the season of the low-profile rims and gumwall tyres.

I will be running NoTyres™ this summer, ain't nothing cooler than the sound of rims chomping down on tarmac.

Why would it hurt, the riding position looks to be just like a normal old-school TT/LoPro-bike.
