I've never scratched my legs on either of my brooklyns with that setup. And mine had chains on both sides!

| | That Tommassini passed through the hands of my friend James (the same guy I bought my Affinity from). He's had some sick bikes: Eimei: http://velospace.org/files/eimeifatlace2_0.jpg Medici: http://velospace.org/files/medicipost.jpg Calfee (he still has this): http://velospace.org/files/calfeepost.jpg Masi (he also still has this): http://velospace.org/files/03b.jpg |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() http://www.nytimes.com/2005/01/24/business/24bike.html Lance Armstrong in 05 "It's interesting; at the Discovery team presentation, we talked about the possibility to build a velodrome and everyone went into a frenzy... 'he's going to buy the Hour Record'. I said it was a possibility; I didn't say we had already built the freakin' track! We were exploring every possibility like we do with everything. So that was, of course when we were not certain I was doing the Tour, so everything else is on the back burner and after that, we'll decide. For all the purists out there, I will say IF there's an hour record and IF one is done at altitude, there WILL be one done at sea level." They never did it though

| | Lance probably used that test Trek for power metering. They'd adjust his position and measure aerodynamics and power generation and then if they found he could generate enough power for long enough, THEN they'd worry about building a bike that met regulations for the record. He probably couldn't meet the power requirements and would rather finish on a 7-tour high than a 'missing the hour record' low. |
