not all factories in asia are "sweatshops" that's a staggeringly ignorant thing to ask, maybe if he'd worded it in a less virtuous manner he might have got a more serious answer.

still, the guy does seem to be cockbound

Yeah, I can kind of see that the questions the coffeeshop guy was asking were a bit daft, but it was the only transcript I could find online with Chad of PCW.

Apparently, when SFFixed were dealing with him and asking questions like 'We were expecting our goods 2 months ago and you've had our money for 4 months now, when can we expect our jerseys?' his answer was something along the lines of 'When I get round to it, now leave me alone'.

If you're doing a group buy on tires or straps DO NOT GO SOMA. That shit sucks. The everwears are heavy as shit and ride super dead. Though they're fine for skidding the sidewalls are shite and blow out dumb quick so it's not worth it. Gatorskins or rubinos are always a good choice. Also, their straps aren't laminated and fall the fuck apart/stretch like your sister when I'm done with her. For tubes stay the hell away from continental. Other than that, group buy = good idea.

Rubinos are nice. I'd be up for buying a stack of them.

Yeah, but there's a few varieties. I've had Rubino Pros on my road bike for ages. Loads of kays and really cut to shit but didn't give in to the p_ncture fairy often.
Basically, I'd buy them again. Conti can get fscked though.

How about we start a list? We're good at that.

The deal is this, if there is a type of item you would like to see in a group buy and you WOULD BUY, you put your name against it.

Don't assume that we all agree on the exact details, if there's a clothing list assume we'll work out later whether it's Chrome, Rapha or Portland Cyclewear (unlikely given reviews).

How about a getting a container load of these shipped in from Tai Ying Systems Co in Taiwan? Would be freaky if the streets of London were suddenly flooded with brand new oriental ordinary bicycles.
Sure it would be possible to get a nice price. Finding 32" arrospok for the upgrade could be tricky.

shipping is £6 on interlink express but if you buy more than 6 it'll easily be less than £6 each.
