| | Yes, you struggle lots. I have a mini, and it only fits around my rear wheel, not including the frame, and a post. You can't get the lock out of the rear triangle of the frame unless you cut the wheel up though, which is major hassle. My NY 3000 fits: post, wheel, seat stays, and front wheel. |

| | some fellow on here made a good point that good (and cheaper) chains are available from hardware stores as they are used to look up sites with very expensive generators, tools equipment etc. My brother is giving me a chain for looking up motorcycles - worth £150 apparently so hopefully pretty good |

| | Well I'd say it's true for a u lock vs a chain of the same value upto £100. A well placed, high quality u lock, e.g. fahgettaboudit mini through rear wheel with no gaps to a solid immovable object will be a lot harder to break than a fahgettaboudit chain through the wheel frame and object. |

| | just ordered my ny 3000. £40 an absolute bargain imo. the new york fug seems good but it is nearly the same size as the mini but twice the weight . also its really small and cant lock the whole frame? im not saying i wouldnt get one but i'd rather lock both wheels and the frame to something with the ny 3000. |

| | Just fill the ny 3000 with as much bike and post as you can, and you'll be fine. I get my cranks parallel to the seat stays and put the lock around them as well. I'll take a pic tomorrow if it doesn't make much sense. The NY fug is the same size as the evo mini but nearly twice the weight because the fug has a locking mechanism on each end of the u shaped bit. The evo mini has only one, and a hooked bit. See my review of it in the reviews category for pictures. |

| | ny 3000 - I found to big and a weird weight to carry around as a regular lock. Good if your leaving your bike locked for an extended period though abus chain lock, Put it around your waist and you don't notice the weight. Evo mini - really good if you don't use deep v rims and your not locking up for an extended period. the mini ny I was put off by the weight 2kgs doesn't really hang to well off a belt/pocket/bag what you lock it to is really important as well, alot of railings around london can be cut so easily, they can then just carry the bike or throw it in a van |

Kryptonite's response to that video, by the way, was that there isn't actually any proof that the chain they are using is a Kryptonite chain. After all, they do say that they borrowed the lock from a friend, or it was donated or something. But any chain with a big enough pair of croppers can be broken. A u-lock with no gaps is a lot more difficult to break because you can't get any tools in. Scrapper - weird weight - I carry a ny 3000 and a evo mini, and I'm skinny/muscle-less :P | |

| | This lock has to date never let me down. ITs reallyhard to get leverage on it and you can get a real tight grip around frame and lampost. Not sure if anyone's mentioned this lock as i have not read all the threads. Big love for this baby, and has other applications too..... http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ProductDetail.aspx?W=0&Manufacturer=&UberCatName=& Cat=cycle&CategoryName=Locks&ProdID=5300003376&Ube rCat=0 |

| | wow the prices on www.saundersonsecurity.co.uk seem really good, almost a bit too good. I've been dragging my feet about getting a NY Fahgettaboudit chain, I think the weight put me off initially, but i've seen a few people wearing them round their waist. Anyone on here use one and if so what are they like for everyday use? |
