Ello, dunno if this is of any interest to polo people; and sorry for crashing the ebay thread...

Shimano STX cranks & 32t chainset
http://www.londonfgss.com/thread27269.html

and I've a short reach stem for a fiver too:

Plus some shoddy 700 wheels (1 front, 1 rear, on a cassette) complete with tyres and tubes if anyone want's 'em. Make me an offer under £10 for the wheels, the rear I might need this weekend. Photo here

Collection from Wests this week, Souths on Monday, or anytime during the week in Brixton.

You can run a freewheel on a double/fixed hub, there's a few less threads in engagement but as the cog is effectively floating on it's own bearings the difference to running it on a freewheel specific hub is negligible.

The only thing to note with that particular freewheel is that they're almost impossible to take off without dismantling and as far as I'm aware totally impossible to put bacvk together again (millions of tiny tiny bearings).

I'd say get it and if you decide you like it upgrade to a better one when this one starts feeling sloppy. N.B, The largest WI is only 23t.

+1, that's exactly what I did, used a shitty freewheel, then upgraded as it started to disintegrate.
