Downland Nightime Sportive

I imagine a few on here would be interested in this, although a week's notice isn't helpful;

http://www.downlandcycles.co.uk/nightSportive.htm

Starting and finishing in Canterbury, it's a 120 km sportive in the dark. Start is at 10:30 p.m. next Saturday. It's limited to 60 people so you'd better be quick if you are interested.

I'll be tucked up in a nice hotel bed in France, so I'm out.

I don't dispute that, but I thought some people might be interested. So sorry to waste your time _Zed_. ;-)

Interesting. Would like to see the route first though. I'm already riding to Brighton in the day, so the missus would be royally pissed off though.

*edit* found this http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/downland-nocturne although the elevation profile bit is bust.

Thanks, Sam. Worked for me--go to 'Show' in the top left hand corner, hover, select 'Elevation Profile'.

Here it is, anyway:

^ That looks like a pretty stiff climb to start with.

I'd love to do this, by the way--I'm just not sure I can get my act together before next week-end. I certainly wouldn't be able to go on Corny's Brighton ride.

The elevation is still bust. Trust me Oliver, it is not that flat.

Oh, I see--I didn't realise that what you meant was that what it actually showed was wrong.
