| | So i'm basically looking for a set of bullhorns, was thinking 42 or less in width, seems hubjub is out of the nitto ones, what other ones are worth recommending? i'm not particularly keen on the pursuit style ones, would prefer some that didn't curve down around the bend (if thats making any sense...). Prefer having my hands on the bend of the bars, was wondering if anyone has a brakesetup that makes this possible without having to shift your hands to the middle constantly to use the front brake. Also, anyone have any experience with cloth bartape, particularly, how is it when wet? |

| | right, by side of bars i didn't mean all the way up, but on the actual bend of the tube, so i was looking for something like a bmx lever that would attach around the area somewhere and be operatable that position. my cousin has the profile airwing ones and thats how i established that those aren't what i want, who else makes "flat" ones? or will i just have to wait till hubjub restocks? |

| | Profile airwing bars. You can get them anywhere, wiggle for example. They have a little bit of a drop but not much - as the guy above says. WRT cloth bar tape - I tried it once, wouldn't do it again. They felt nice over short distances, but I needed some more padding since I ride quite a lot. |

| | You can have my bullhorns if you want. They're chopped and flopped cheap drops, and they're pretty roughly chopped at that. Might help you to figure out exactly what you want. They dont bend down, just curve straight from the horizontal up to the horn. As i said they're yours for free, they're not good enough to demand cashish. |

| | as far as a lever, a Dirty harry bmx lever is a really good one to try, you can get them in left or right singles from most good bmx shops, they also make a shorter lever version called the gold finger which is in gold... and is intended to be used with one finger, and look nice and neat. the also come with a hinge clamp so if you want to swap your bars about you dont have to slide in on/off |

| | Word of caution silasmellor, one of the reasons i'm giving these away is cos they're too fat for my dirt harry brake lever!!! Can't believe it, they aren't oversized or anything, they're just a tiny bit too wide to be able to get the screw into the hole. A longer screw would work but it is a bit of extra hassle. actually do dirt harry levers come in different width clamps?? |

| | I'm running a pair of 44mm wide drops chopped and flopped, wrapped in the specialized phatwrap bar tape (one with squidgy gel pads) and I find the great, just enough width on the flats and just enough length to the horns. as for brakes I'm using one of the specialized cross top brake levers (£15/pair from LBS) these are a split clamp that fits around the grip section (not centre clamp area) of the bar. I only run one lever but you could clamp the other to the very end of the bars like a slightly uglier version of the aero end fitting brake levers (which wouldn't fit as the ends of the chopped bars are anything but round) and use the flat bar one as an interruptor lever so you have a brake lever in both hand positions. |

| | mmm had a look at those specialised ones actually, they look quite nice. Not really sure i want a lever in the mid section as i rarely use it, but clamping it under the end of the bar might be worth a shot. Have you tried clamping them on top of the bar tape, and if so, does it work? most worried about clamp diameter as the phat wrap is well... phat... |

| | A good BMX shop in North London That said I have a gold finger which I don't really need until I build my new BMX next March/April. You're welcome to borrow it until then to see if you like it. |
