Good ride all, good to see some new faces out there, and nice to sense that none of you will be letting a bit of wind put you off future rides. Like Ma3k says though - would be good to do that ride on a nice calm warm summers day. I can assure you it was that wind that made a few of the roads seem hillier ;)

Starrergang - cheers for getting the vid up. Can't view from work but will look fwd to that later.
Illy - good ITT dude, v impressive.
Fatboyralph - a well deserved Maillot Jaune there
And a big shout to all those popping their long ride cherries - well done guys

Til next time

jonny, i was behind you on the climbs towards the end. probably why i thought they were pretty easy ;) polka dot jersey for you!

i was always looking ahead and attacked most of the climbs. attacking full pelt at the start meant momentum got me thru most of the run up. the route was perfect for my 47x16 ratio....most were on lower gears so it was easier for me to go faster longer.

thanks for doin the route jonny. good choice of lanes. quiet, smooth surfaced lanes, nice small towns, scenic, thatched roofed houses, etc...excellent work

yeh, well done to those who did as their first long ride. sore backs, bums and legs today no doubt. no pain no gain!

object, was speaking to ma3k about it on train back yesterday. didn't come up with a plan as such but we were saying it should be an easy round london social ride really. a chance to get together and dissect the previous nights shennanigans. still nothing planned basically so if anyone has any good ideas be good to hear them

Easy sounds sensible considering the night before, should we possibly consider a later than usual departure time too?
Give people time for breakfast / hangover remedies / aspirin etc.
