how about shipping? don't they take like $120 for export and plus whatever the customs will charge you as well when it arrives to UK.

nice frame, but a bit of a steep price.

make sure you go pick up the frame, and pay cash, as those photos are taken straight off the web, and are in Japan.

sounds fishy to me, is that frame still on njs-keirin as being for sale or in the exported section?

Sounds dodgy! Is it Gabe selling it off the website above ^ or some other fella selling it in France that already bought it from the website and he's re-selling??

Gabe who runs that site is based in NYC but his mate in Japan ships the frames worldwide

So we've established it's in Paris(?) and you only have to go and pick it up? Therefore 780E is a bit steep if you ask me, I'd say closer to 500/600E would be closer to the mark

Sounds about right BUT 780E is too much in my opinion(i assume just for the frame and forks, headset, BB?)

I know but even so, that's WELLLLLL cheap, I sent a wheel/box weighing less than 1.5kg to France, using Parcelforce and it cost me £62!!

Just reviving this thread.

Does anyone think that this frame is worth the $550 which he is asking for it? It does have a dent in the top tube.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=110407841843

I was gonna message the guy as the item didn't sell and see if I could make a deal.

The kind of money you're going to spend on buying it, shipping it and then import tax could be put to much better use. So....

Are you in London?

Yes?

Get yourself to Tour De Ville and pick up something nice, possibly something Italian.

No?

Keep on searching.

I am in the states and so is the frame. So tax etc isn't so much an issue

Fair enough, I think you money would be better invested elsewhere.

For the money you're spending I think you could do better than a dented NJS frame.

Chances are that it's been crashed and the frame and forks may not be as strong as they once were.

for the money - you could easily get a custom-build frame locally in the state.

el squire, dented frame doesn't mean it's likely that it's crashed, the strict NJS rules mean even tiny tiny dent cause by the handlebar hitting the top tube are disqualified from the Keirin.

the dent in picture is just a tiny knick that probably cause by the handlebar hitting the TT, in Keirin it's a big no-no, but for normal riding, it's fine.

the fact that it has been dented and disqualified from a real NJS certified betting race kind of adds to the allure don't you think?

For 500 bucks or 300 pounds what good custom frames can you get? I think as it didn't sell I might be able to command a lower price. What would be reasonable?

Since you're in the US, and since the seller is too in the US, 500 doesn't seemed much if you collect the bike yourself.

£345 get you a hand-made lugged frame in England, OTP thought but still.
