| | Hi David, like many at work this site is now blocked, I believe through URL block not content inspection. through the the IP no problem. However the issue now is that most linkes on the website site seem to be hardcoded into the URL and not the Hostname called If you look at the source of http://67.19.83.27 you will see. The 'Sign in' top right is fine for example but all the other links are not. So I have to painfully paste link together to read threads..If I want to post I have to save the HTML and replace the action field in the form... v painful. Can you make this more generic ? Or could you mirror the website ? Thanks |

| | how about trying tor, breglis? http://tor.eff.org it's designed for anonymous browsing in exactly the situation you describe. i've used it very successfully from behind corporate firewalls. biggest problem is that its' popularity has increased greater than the bandwidth available so there are times when it can be pretty slow (think: when america is awake) but i have found is often ok in the morning. must admit i haven't been using it recently as have good and unrestricted access and (not currently!) trying to hide anything. good luck. |

| | Hi Guys, I feel your pain, so I created this just for you. Here's my quick fix (pardon the pun).... Download the file from http://www.byteflex.com/downloads/url-ip.exe Right click on the link and select "save link as" or whatever. For those that have downloads on ".exe" files blocked, try downloading the alternative: http://www.byteflex.com/downloads/url-ip.kit then rename the file to "url-ip.exe". Run the program and enter 4 things: Site URL: http://www.londonfgss.com IP Address: http://67.19.83.27 Proxy Host and Proxy Port are specific to your firewall, you may find these in your browser settings. When The application starts, it acts like a proxy itself, except it changes incoming data that contains the IP address to the URL and outgoing data containing the URL is changed to the IP address. Last thing you need to do is change the proxy server settings in your browser to host=127.0.0.1 and port=8987. This will slow down page access slightly, so you may not want to use it all the time, but other sites will load equally well with it switched on. It's a bit rough around the edges and you can't yet save the settings permanently but at least it should work just now (this post was written with it switched on) Happy surfing. |

Sorry, there's no easy way to do this. It's gotta work for anyone. BTW, There's no guarantee, and no liability on my belhalf if you mess things up by using it. It only works on Windoze. That said, it does nothing permanent WHATSOEVER on your PC. When it's gone, it's gone.

| | breglis, it doesn't work as a solution: http://lussumo.com/community/discussion/7174/programming-help-needed-how-to-perform-a-rewrite-of-the-entire-page/ I don't mind at all you looking. What we're looking for is a place within the code that is globally used as the exit point and stands a chance at reading the output buffer, clearing it, changing the read string, writing that to the output buffer and flushing it. |

2) Clean the buffer 3) Replace all appropriate URL's in the variable 4) Start the buffer with gzip enabled 5) Output the variable 6) Flush the buffer Oh, and change the forum URL from Absolute to Virtual. Change the cookie path from domain to blank. Change the validated return path from Absolute to Virtual.
