| | Spotted Pipwish - Warren Street tube, met him to do a seedy tyre deal, dirty £20s went one way, two hoops of exotic rubber the other way - his bike is rather cool, postbox red Bob Jackson, very nice chrome rear mud guard + other various bike furniture - as I walked off I spotted some old bloke (in his 60s/70s) stop Pipwish and quiz him about his lovely bike. |

| | A month or so back I had a geezer on an ancient Dawes shout "fooking hell a Bob Jackson" whilst we were waiting to pull out onto Shaftesbury Avenue from bottom of Greek St and he launched into reminiscing all the way up to Monmouth St about racing one up north when he was a kid and how he really wanted a Mercian and how Condor were always thought a bit flash. So nothings changed really. |

The mud guard is a Honjo Koken. The old chap said it was a beautiful bike and that he had a track bike 50 years ago(!). He looked it all over and started quizzing me about gear ratios and such like. It's good when someone you wouldn't otherwise chat to lights up about something like this. | |

| | don't see many folk on my morning route up the A10, but i did see a chap in a mustard yellow (ish) top crossing a junction near dalston on a burgundy mercian with a nice pink spiral seat tube. nice bike, i was too busy trying to track stand at the lights (whatever) to wave/salute etc. i do often see a courier chap (i think) on a green frame with orange forks headin down towards kingsland road from stamford hill. |

| | This is unlikely, but - I was just coming up the stairs of my building with my bike in arm, and girlfriend in tow. Some guy was coming down sans bike but also with girlfriend in tow. I had to get out of the way to let them down. I thought he had said "lots of traffic down the stairs" but my girlfriend said he said "my trackie is down stairs" (where two bikes have been stolen from since I've moved here!). Perhaps you're on here, and I can say, I'm not a dick who ignored you, just misheard you? |
