I just got this message from someone looking at an item I have for sale on Ebay: 'give your email for paypal cuz i must send money via paypal i have some problems with pay normal on pay pal'.

I told him I only want to complete the transaction within Ebay, using Paypal. It pays to be suspicious in these circumstances I reckon. Has anyone else experienced anything like this or have any idea what, if he is being dodgy, he would be hoping achieve by his actions? It just seems really odd.

But isn't that what happens automatically from Ebay when someone wins your item?

See that's what got me thinking about it being a bit dodge. Their grasp of English is about as good as each other as well!

He hasn't even won yet, that is the problem. He's trying to do things outside of Ebay by the looks of things, which they strongly advise against. I told him to get lost anyway and he's not been back yet.

Ha ha, problem is he's not from the good side of the family so I need to tread carefully.
