| | I like the names of sizes - they fit with the branding. An alternate tag line would be "Take everything in your stride" Does this mean you'll do bugger all for most of the month and then sew furiously for 4 days? Can we have custom embroidery / designs on the hip bags? |

| | heavy flow gets 10 out of 10....honestly it fits about as much stuff as a large IKEA hamper...tested and when empty still wraps around the back nicely, doesn't move about and all the features are extremely thought through. The craftsmanship is outstanding. your Guinea Pig get in the waiting list chaps i fell it's about to get really long! |

| | smeear put some pics of his bag being worn both outrageously full and totally empty on the 'another new bag from scot' thread....:) and the logo will be on the bags eventually in the form of a small label somewhere discreet....you don't want people thinking you work for a sanitary towel disposal agency.....hehe |

| | i got no problems with people thinking i'm puerile.....life is a serious enough business as it is...we all need a smile now and then, and so far the name seems to raise a smile in the majority of people who hear it...i keep my serious side for the making of the bags...a name is merely a name,it doesn't define the quality of the product... |

| | I'll add my tuppence worth to this one You're getting rave reviews for the design, construction and customer service for your bags - companies crave this kind of unsolicitited endorsement and more importantly you are building up a fair bit of 'brand equity' at a very early stage of your business - crackin result, and from the feedback you've had, well deserved. However... A bit like calling your child 'fiesta savannah' because it seems cute when they;re little, when they grow up and get to school they will have seven shades of piss taken out of them. For me MENSTRUAL CYCLES - THEY'RE BLEEDIN' GOOD is peurile - you may say 'so what - if you don't like it i don't care' but you are trying to sell products that you believe in and seem to be really proud of. Why disenfranchise a whole section of buyers? If I bought one of your bags [sorely tempted] I'd have the logo off in a minute because I do find it a bit '14 year old sniggering lads' and would be reticent in saying 'yeah - great bag, got it from menstrual cycles' - if you make t shirts/stickers/badges to promote the company as you grow then quite a few of your potential walking billboards could also be lost With it being early doors in establishing your brand in the marketplace it's worth having a bit of a linger over - If you stick with it and really believe in it, then cool. Just wanted to give you a different reaction and perspective. |

| | I truly appreciate the honest opinions you guys are giving me on both the bags themselves, and the name....and i do see where you're coming from on the puerile name....but one of the main reasons behind it,is to bring an element of fun back into an industry that i feel is sorely lacking in it.As a child, the one thing that drew me to bikes was fun...and as a teenager, the one thing that kept me cycling was fun...now as an adult, with so many hassles and serious aspects to my life,i seem to notice more and more that a large section of cyclists have become so elitist and snobbish, that they almost seem to have forgotten about the fact that bikes are indeed fun. I personally have always found myself drawn towards companies that don't take themselves too seriously...companies that are run by people like me that feel that if they can put a smile on someones face while still providing a great product, then they're achieving just a little bit more than some of the more faceless companies. Having seen the way that a simple discussion on this very forum can go from somebody asking a legitimate bike related question...into a series of 'mum jokes' and 'carry on' style inuendos in just a matter of minutes...i assume that i'm not the only person on here that has that slightly puerile quality to their personality. I truly do believe in the products i make, and the name that they have....and who knows, maybe i'm making the wrong decision...but i'm sure when Richard Branson first started his global empire, more than a few people turned to him and said "you can't call your company VIRGIN" Thanks again for all your feedback...but i gotta go,i need to go and stretch some clingfilm over the toilet before my guests arrive! *puerile,me?* |
