Good day yesterday, nice meeting more people from the forum.
Crankenstein @ yes, it was a good ride down. I think I am still recovering from the speed you went up the hill!
Btw, there was no damage done, after trying to ride flickwigs bike!

Unlucky! I thought you'd just about got the weather. Such is the way of Herne Hill tho.

Just to note - there is racing every Monday and Wednesday at the track, kick-off around 6.30pm. You need a racing licence for Monday, but you can turn up and race on the Wednesdays (the 'Go Race' races).

That said, there's a lot to be said for having the track to yourselves ... I might even sneak along to the next one ... you'll probably recognise me by my lycra!

Finally found some time to piece together Sunday afternoon...

The LifeSaver

I think this is Peckham Pirate trying to work out which way round the track he should cycle:

General Flim Flammery

Retreating to the pub

and a close up (sadly i couldn't photograph the flies) of the sun.

Family Slain

Emilie trying to escape the advances of the Child Catcher/Slave Master, who genuinely loved track bikes

Apart from Skoota, who went over the road to listen to tunes? I've forgotten his screen name.

Despite being a sometimes cantankerous old codger, he's on the list of djs for the Summer BBQ, sadly he didn't bring out the farmer's dub the other night. I think Brendan might owe him a Twix which he scoffed!

If you've got deep pockets, this man can help with some of those tunes:

ETA: yes, indeed it is a woooman's flask. My woman presented it to me full of tea that day.

Jumblers taken care of, just spoke to the HH cafe lady, Jan, and she's put us in the diary too...
We're sorted! :)

NIce, I was gutted about the weather. It was even worse on Monday. Looking out on the park behind my house, I thought Brixton was going to blow away -although my favorite local was still smoking a fatty spliff in the rain. Let's drink beer nightly for a clear day on the 29th. I don't know how that will help, but everything is worth a try.
