Ive always had the opinion that your only ever truly friends with someone when you can take the piss out of each other.

The extremity of the piss taking being almost an exact measure of closeness, when a bunch of blokes can share racial insults in good spirit, they are truly blood brothers.

Its funny that the term Paki is considered racist in the UK. Its kind of just shortening the word isn't it? Its like calling Australians "Aussie"? I remember Australian cricket commentators using the term when we were playing Pakistan, and the English have always been referred to as the Poms, which I gather some people find offensive as well. Really find it strange because it was never used in a derogatory fashion.

I've a money spinning idea that would solve the parasitic problem too. We allow the Royal Family to continue breeding but for three months each summer we have a reality TV show with them. Three of them will be ejected by popular vote and then publically executed in Wembley stadium. Tourists will have first dibs on tickets.

I would argue that a racist joke can be funny because it is a funny joke... in other words, if the joke is clever and the internal logic of the humour is sound, then it can be funny... regardless of the subject matter.

i think all of it was over the line because of who he is. i know loads of people like this who are actually 'well sound' really, but i think he should take heed of the mistakes he's made before. i'm not at all offended by his conduct in that film but i can see why others would be. Currently he has the endearing persona of a lovable, hunky rebel* and black sheep, but as he gets older that'll pass and he'll look like a fool (see: duke of edinburgh).
