For sale Colnago Pursuit/Hour Record Bike

Immaculate Colnago pursuit/hour record bike in the aero Oval CX tubeset with full campag Record/Super Record and Shamals. It is freshly restored to original condition, all the parts are NOS or hardly used. It is 650 front, very low horizontal top tube which is 58cm c/c. Weighs approx 17lbs. I also have spare chrome fork drilled for front brake. There are a few very small cosmetic indentations on the top tube. They do not notice, or detract in any way from the bike. It is a stunner.

This frame (stamped A60) is identical to the Tony Rominger hour record bike. Very few frames using the Oval CX tubes/lugs where made for pursuiting as opposed to the TT frame in this style which is more common.

3TTT Moser Bars NOS
3TTT stem - minor mark at bottom
Shamal Track rear NOS
Shamal 650 front tiny bit of brake mark on one side only
Classic Record Pista 170mm cranks. VGC
Super Record Titanium B/B - unmarked
C-Record Aero Pedals NOS
C-Record headset - unmarked
Period correct cut down Colnago Freccia Saddle NOS

Hardly used Campag Deltas or lovely NOS 1990s Campag Chorus braksets available. Either £80 per set.

£1500.

Nice kitchen. I've always liked stainless steel against exposed brickwork.
...and a very nice bicycle ;)

But doesn't the grease stain the brickwork without some sort of splashback?

^ Not a problem. Not if you have well trained kitchen staff.

The kitchen table chairs have what look to be that horrible velvet type stuff coving the cushion?

Beautiful bike. Why are you selling?

Jesus, if I wanted a critique of my kitchen I would have gone to ElleDeco.com. Of course, any splash back issues are taken care of by Anna, the gem of a Polish cleaner we have....

Does it come with the same type of EPO that Rominger used?

I'm not impressed by your bike or your kitchen - even less than by your mention of your domestic staff - 'gem' or not.

Sorry, I'm clearly a bit drunk...
I'll try to make sure that you never have to agree with me again...

Had a couple of offers - thanks. To clarify, I am looking for £1500 for the bike. I will not split or take offers. I am only selling becuase it doesn't fell quite right havng such a lovely bike sitting about not getting much use. Tried to persuade Her Indoors to let me put it on the wall, but what with all the other bikes "cluttering up the place'" she is not having it.

Good to meet you Ian. Love to see pics of the bike once you have completed it. Hope the brakes fit easily.

Gear ratio is 52/16 - just under 88inches. Not exactly an everyday gear.
