I've been riding my fixed mainly around Hove, Shoreham and Steyning since July, only seen 2 or 3 others, if you see an old(ish) bloke on an orange/pink Orbit gasping for air say hello

I'm going to the Mitre jumble tomorrow with my son but we are going by car, I'll say hello if I see you

anyone know of any bike couriers that work in Brighton? Do they exist or is Brighton too small?

sorry I didn't get to say hello, we weren't there long and I didn't see any fixeds, I bought a well used Concor saddle that looked just like one I used to have in 1981, I've tried ariones and toupes recently neither seem to suit me so when I saw an old favourite I couldn't resist it and when the bloke said £2 I could have kissed him, on walking round I saw another one in better condition but my son told me to put it back and 9 year olds are always right

it was good day and nice little ride out. we all seemed to buy a lot of pedals, clips and christophe straps!

some serious bike porn on show there and a few nice fixed wheels outside too. def the way to buy bike bits.

Wonder if the other fixed riders there frequent the forum? Coulda used some spokecards

you'll be glad to know Elvis my chain is no longer orange.

I am still a wheezing no-fitness rider though, but at least the brown leather colour scheme will work now.

Found some pictures of the same model Carlton on FGG http://www.fixedgeargallery.com/2006/sept/DouglasUser.htm

Think mine might need a bit of polish before it gets to that standard though

nice. if you want any help working on it give me a shout.

the sylvan, mks, christophe combination does look seriosuly smart. might have to swap out the pedals, not sure I like the feel of them.

Yeah not installed mine yet, don't want to scuff them up untill I know if they'll fit the Carlton.

Rode the same route we took to the jumble into to work today was a bit easier when I didn't have to chase you two.

Though the fog did settle on my hoodie and turn into frost

would the ghettodrome be Preston Park track?

I've often wondered if I could just turn up there during the week and do some laps or whether a park keeper would object like they always did when I was a kid

i live in east grinstead, about 25mile away
i normally park my car at park and ride and then cycle into town when crashing at friends etc.

i hear there is a track around preston park?

anyway.. if there is anything happening saturday, let me know and ill trip down.
i was chatting to a friend about doing the critical mass on friday and then crashing over at hers.. though im not sure if that will happen yet.
