| | Insomniac rides Most of my riding seems to happen between 10pm and 1am these days. (I'm slaving over a hot thesis all day, and just know I won't get to sleep unless I go out and stretch my legs first.) It's a glorious time to be out - nice and quiet, hardly anyone else on the roads - so give me a shout if anyone wants to come out and join me. There's so much fun to be had in London late at night - it upsets me that no one seems to be having it! Last edited by Emilia; 9th September 2008 at 17:59.. |

| | Regular nocturnal once a monthers head to various parts of the coast......slow paced and allsorts of bikes, usually a couple of fixed riders. I joined them back in May and am planning to go this Friday too. Hardest part is certainly getting to Hyde Park corner......not a problem for you though! http://www.anothercyclingforum.com/index.php?board=32.0 |

| | Ooh - yes, I've done loads of these in the past! (Wish you hadn't told me there was one this Friday - my deadline isn't till Monday.) But for now I'm thinking just of off-the-cuff jaunts round London. If anyone finds themselves at a loose end at about 9.30 tonight, post on this thread and let's meet somewhere improbable... |

| | Sounds good to me too, i'd be in for some of that, i do it sometimes myself, you're dead right about late night riding around town, its great fun.. Cant do tonight though, riding down to epping forest after work to do a few laps.. But will keep this in mind, would be up for one next week some time.. |

| | me too - love riding late at night, probably my favourite time! and having recently become self employed means i regularly take off anytime between midnight and 3am for a couple of hours... then back home to work like a true insomniac! gonna head to trixiedix shortly, but if nobody's about due to rain etc i may well pop over to waterloo bridge for 10pm - so maybe see you later emilia, otherwise i'll definitely keep an eye on/use this thread in the future.. |

| | +1 for starting this thread. Cycling from 10 - 2am is the best time to be rolling around London, I've recently started taking pictures as the city is quite & pretty. Last night i fell off my bike at 0mph but luckily no one was around to see, the beauty of the Greenwich foot tunnel at 12. |

| | Just got in (still sweating onto my keyboard) and apparently a whole gang of people were waiting on the bridge and I managed to miss them. Not sure how that happened, but hope you had a good ride without me. (Maybe next time I should wear a big flashing light or something. Oh wait, I was...) |

| | hi emilia - fred, dancingjames, bristlypioneer and myself 'sprinted' to the middle of waterloo bridge, arriving at 10.10pm (precisely, james has a geekily accurate watch!).. waited till almost 10.30 but realised we must've missed you.. somehow! hope you had a good ride, we ended up buying bagels and munching them under the gherkin - nice idea fred! some either time, will be watching this great thread... thanks em! |
