| | I haven't seen it but it sounds about right. I have to leave to meet a client in the next hour, so I've gotta go soon. Action required? Should I just buy the bike back? I'm not sure what the police can do? Unfortunately it is a pretty good newsagent, and one of the younger guys there. Ben |

| | Bike now safely in my flat until Jack gets back from America. Ended up buying it from him for £50, though he said he at first he bought it of a tramp for £80, that's why he wanted £80 for it. Lying little toe-rag. Unfortunately when I finally met him with the bike (5th time) I couldn't get hold of anyone local to get a posse. However, went to the Police in the morning and told them the story, and said "can we have an officer accompany us to get the bike back?" Police "no - we'll arrest him for possesion of stolen property" Which would have been great, except Jack was pissed and was flying to America the next day so the muppet didn't report it stolen. So the police couldn't do anything, cause there wasn't a crime to solve! Which was bloody annoying. So. Moral of the story - Always report your bike stolen asap, even if you don't have insurance. |
