i can only see 5 pages of posts when i log in dave ? i have logged in as usual but am unable to go past page 5

Ah, I know what this is.

Clicking "Posts" in the top left will only show you the last 24 hours.
Clicking "New Posts" under "Quick Links" will show you everything.

It's a performance decision, 99% of times that Posts is clicked people are only looking at page 1, so I don't perform a query that would fetch all 270,000+ posts.

i did an intial post and saw it on the spy page.

When I edited that post seconds later nothing showed in the spy post. Thats what I mean/meant.

No, edits aren't shown on Spy. It's considered too transient.
