Obligatory 'New Bike' Comment

Hey everyone, put this together tonight.

Thanks to Joe for the frame. It looks great with 700c's!

I'm going to buy meself a long drop brake and a brooks b17 tomorrow I think. Oh and some MKS sylvans/metal toeclips. Anyone know of a shop in London that sells long drop brakes?

It's actually a much brighter orangey red in the flesh, but I quite like the colour in that photo. :)

For a frame that takes 27s the gaps are fairly small with 25/23 front/back. It must be mega tight with 27s on! I was thinking about maybe changing the forks to reduce clearance, but it's really not bad. It might be cool to see it with tighter forks, might give the frame a cheeky little forward tilt. :)

Phil - hmmm, possibly! The bike isn't really finished yet, the gearing is ridiculous (48/20), and it has no brake and a saddle that eats my anus. and shit pedals. If I get all (or most) of that sorted tomorrow then I might make my inaugural appearance west!

okay here's a deal - you get over to mine for say 6.30 - we swap a few saddles around, maybe the chainring - maybe even find a brake (not so sure about this one) and away we go!!!

that's what i've got now :). I wanna big ring on the front so I can get a decent track gearing without having to buy a 3 tooth cog. And also to get a sensible road gearing for a 20t cog.

god is this the next thing? we all have to build dedicated velodrome bikes now? okay so that's 1) show bike, 2) pub bike, 3) polo bike, 4) proper track bike. i better clear some more space in the flat...
