| | Anyone seen any decent piping I could salvage for a mallet? I'm on the lookout with a hacksaw in my pocket... A ski pole would be good too. Reckon I'm gonna visit a few charity shops to see if I can get one cheap. eBay if all else fails I guess. Any info muchos appreciated. THX |

| | Cool! Thanx guys. I feel spoilt for choice now. As I live near the DeBeauvior court, I guess I'll check that out. Otherwise, perhaps I can meet one of you with me saw! I work over East if that helps. And Jol, chances are if I find a pole, it'll be part of a pair so I'll grab both of 'em. Mike: What's your recommended length of pipe? Some say 8" and others 5". |

Same goes for length of the pole. Shorter for a better swing to score, longer for the reach to grab the ball and block shots. My mallets are around 37" long. Also, cut the tapered end, not the wide handle end. It'll give you more metal around the bolt holding the head on. | |
