You guys decide otherwise we'll have pretty much the same programme... Deffo like slamm's slow-race idea!

The groups were split according to ability and sent off at the same time but from various parts of the track. The fast group had about 2/3 of a lap to make up on the slower riders. It was over 10 laps (I think) with first across the line winning and four of the slower group stayed away until the finish. Everyone else was chasing like fury.

10 lap race first to warm up, first half finishers go in cat A and second cat B.

then same prog as before maybe ditch the 15 lap one or make it 8-10 for the cat Bs

team pursuits could work (teams chosen randomly) but only if people know how to ride as a team! if it's teams of 4, then the team finishes when the 3rd man crosses.

mikec could make 2/3rdof a lap on 90% of us here over 10 laps

Ok, here's some ideas.

5 lap scratch race heats - 1st two over the line go into the 'A' final, next two go into the 'B' final.
5 lap scratch race finals - A and B

Kieran heats - winner goes into A final, 2nd goes into B final
Kieran finals - A and B

Elimination/Devil takes the hindmost.

Team pursuit - 8 four man teams, treat it like a quarter final so winning teams go through to semi final then the final. (Mikec and hillbilly, you guys can't form a team)

i think to make it more interesting / equal teams
we should agree to:

a) incorporate equal numbers of group A and group B.

or

b) First four A are paired with last 4 in B
First four in B teamed with last 4 in A
etc.,

team pursuit is bit hard. a lot of trust involved (might not work if randomly selected) and should they be of relatively equal strengths?

ohh Andy.. You don't know how much you have hurt my feelings. Reminds me of being at school when the A and B football teams were picked, it was always me and the weedy kid with no mates who were left at the end cos no one wanted us in their teams ( I was very very poor at football )

+1.

Even if we survive we stand no chance of working out who won.

Anyone remember the elimination last time "number 17 and the bloke who's got his number on the wrong side"?

day before i go back to uni so should be able to make it :)

stupid question time: how does HH know uve done the induction, it wasn't formal exactly last time, nothing to prove after that i had done it, so there not going to make me do it again are they?
