Five elements my arse...there's only one element that matters...and that's do it cos YOU want to do it..regardless of what everyone else is doing...all this kind of thread does is make riding fixed seem even more of a scene than some people already think it is.
I don't give a hoot about it's supposed five elements...if you want to ride it on the track,rollers,road,or just from your bedroom to the bathroom so you can watch yourself trying to trackstand in a bigger mirror,with your vintage bmx pants on,whilst sitting on your new lo-pro,with your new champ grips on the bottom of your drops which you can't even reach...then do it.
But don't start another pointless thread about the supposed '5 elements of fixed' when you've only been riding fixed for a few months.

Now i may be coming across as a grumpy old man...but damn...people have been riding fixed for longer than any of us have been alive and they didn't winge on about how great or cool it was,or how many different things you can do on it...they knew what could be done on them cos they were out doing it instead of group wanking over how many things they can do on it.

Regading winstons edit phil...my problem isn't with the 'scene' it's with the fact that too many people are more interested in being part of the scene than they are in what the scene originally grew from.
