Sunday 12th October this year. Who's gonna come down and watch/take part?

I'll be there along with my dweeb brother.

My training hasn't happened this year for one reason or another. And I'm 5kg heavier than the first time I did it.

Still wondering about riding it geared, but not bothering with riding the Bec in the afternoon. If the weather was alright, I'd be into riding down there, competing/watching, then riding home for lunch.

Now that this is being talked about again elsewhere, I'll throw my hat in the ring and say I'm up for riding down to watch again.
Nice crisp Autumn morning and a pleasant ride last year.

It's usually by post, closing date around 3 weeks before the event. Details will be on their website or in the CTT handbook or whatever.

Are you doing the Bec? If I do one, I might be tempted to do the other if it's a team effort...

^ Do you mean Tourettes or do you mean coprolalia? I'm sure roaring will be one of some poor fuck's vocal tics, so there's no right or wrong answer here. Just put my twitching mind at rest, please.

Have a good ride down, up then back!

I can now answer the original OP'ers question. I rode up at the weekend on 50" fixed, my lungs nearly burst out of my stomach. Need to loose at least half a stone to be vaguely non-disappointing, so am going to miss out entering this year. Will defintitely pencil it in for next though!

Does someone want to start a new thread for the ride down on the 12th? I would, but seeing as I'm already in Kent it would be a bit of a waste of time me coming up to town to come back down.

If you're not sorted by this evening, email me - I've got an email from Garry (Bec) in my trash folder with all the details.

The Catford Hill Climb has been won on 54" fixed before and Matt said he was spinning out at the beginning but you need a low gear for the last 1in 4 bit.
If I'm not marshalling I shall be watching, see you all there.

I'm in for the Recce. Don't want to come North to Broadway market just to go south again, so do you know the route you'll be taking and I'll work out to meet you somewhere?
