    RE: Veloflex gumwalls.
The veloflexs are incredibly fast feeling tyres and together with lightweight latex inners, are the closest thing you'll get to the ride of tubs (says a guy who has'nt ridden tubs :S ). For minimum weight I run a master (20mm) on the front, and for slightly more longevity a Pave (22mm) on the rear. for a 'non-workhorse' bike, I really cant recommend this set-up enough.

    Re: 28.2mm bars
Nah no luck at all. I reckon people probably have them without knowing it.
My solution was actually having my bike stolen and having to replace everything anyway!

hey hugo, the "vinegar technique" seems to be a very good DIY alternative... although I've never tried it, I've read about it so in that case I know as much as u. U'll need to soak it (frame, or whatever u need to take the rust from...), I guess entirely and if I remember u can actually dissolve the vinegar with water.... or not. I feel not to be the best help as i haven't tried it... anyway, get on it, let us know.

I went cheapo and got cans from Halfords. 2 white primers and 2 blue paints came to about £20ish, maybe a little more. And I've borrowed the lacquer and sandpaper and all else.

Nice man, I just used some car paint from Halford's, the cheapo option. It's cost me about £20 though for the materials and I'll probably botch it, but it's a fun experience. Go have a look if you haven't already. Peace

They came out well so far went to america and still need to sort out chain line so all i can say is they look good no idea if they will last the weather you need a steady hand and a lot of patience if you wanna do it. i rekon i would do an even better job if i gave it a go again.
dont have any pix atm due to lack of camra when its all together i will take some and post them
