- Hello Matt & Mikey just to say this is the Ghost of Stan Pike - I died in 1983 before that I became famous for making some of the best frames of Reynolds 531 tubing for time trial bikes -just look me up via Google "Stan Pike" you'll find out a lot about me. I stll haunt the village of Misterton where I lived my bike shop was in Crewkerne. You can get decals if you want to refurbish the bike available from www.lloydcycles.co.uk Hope this information helps and what ever you do do not sell the bikes they are collectors items now and may be worth a lot of cash - scary aint it?
- Hi, Ive got a stan pike road bike that i got off my dad. He said it was nice to ride but has been using it as a winter bike so its a bit battered but im not gonna respray it as I cant get the original decals. Im in the process of converting it now and hopefully will be finished soon, funds allowing. My first fixed gear too. Only ever riden bmx which i stopped a couple of years ago but got interested in riding again when i came to london and saw that riding fixed looked fun and sociable as well as good exercise. Ill send some pics off the bike as i got it when i get home. in the mean time ill post a link, you may of seen it buts its about all i can find on the net.
http://www.classicrendezvous.com/Bri.../Pike_Stan.htm - Hi, only just noticed this message....I have a stan pike track bike, don't know much about them other than a tiny bit of info online but I'm a novice. I bought it on ebay a couple of years ago and use it for getting around London, I love it but it's my first and only fixed gear bike so I don't have anything to compare it to. I'd be interested to know more about stan pike if you have any info and send me a photo of your conversion.
Cheers, Mikey. - alright there. Saw your user name is Stan pike and was wondering wether its your actual name or wether you ride a 'stan pike' bike? Was interested coz i got a stan pike road frame off my dad that i'm converting but never seen anyone else riding one.
cheers
matt
