Hey! I've never ridden with the Edinburgh Fixed guys, I was intending to head down to Bristo Square and say hello but with all my Uni work it never happened. Might be tempted to check out the cat on Sunday though. I fear I might be slow and rubbish, but... eh. Whatever. You gonna be there?

I ride a copper/brown coloured Kingston conversion with flatbars. If you see me about do say hi! I see a fair few fixed wheels lurking around here and there, but I never seem to see the riders...

thanks for the reply.i do really enjoy being fixed but single speed just seems far more practical for my route to uni every day. i can actually see single speed as being everything fixed is but with the ability to freewheel, don't think i'll lose my pedalling flow.

Alright mate, about the brake lever...I got it from Brick Lane Bikes in London, but you can easily get them on t'internet. It is a Dia Compe Dirty Harry brake lever and costs about a tenner. Check out www.winstanleysbmx.com. I bought a run of brake cable and the outer plastic sheath for a couple of quid extra, but nothing stopping you using your old cable if its in good nick...yeah you just shorten it with some wire cutters. Looking forward to seeing the creation, you got your wheel sorted yet?
