Yeah, I'm a working boy, but these are professional exams. Pass them all and my pay goes up by something like £15k. Just for having some letters after my name - nuts, isn't it?

As for polo, just check the polo forum. The NE throw in games (i.e. Downham Road, Brick Lane, Broadway Market, etc) are probably the best place to start. I'd recommend that you get hold of a bike that is reasonably "expendable" to play on, as it is hard on equipment. I use my commuter and have a set of polo wheels for it.

You'll need to make a mallet at some point too, but you'll be able to borrow one to begin with.

I don't think I'm doing the bridges ride as I've got some exams coming up. You going to start playing polo?

Gutted about the poles, but it is to be expected. I was just hoping that you might have known someone who had a bit lying around for "testing" purposes.

Oh, when I said riding, I meant street. And when I said "less than £80" what I meant was that someone quoted Em (Object) that and none of us can really afford it.

Hey Tom, don't know if you are back in the UK yet, but we should go riding.

Also, I can't remember who you said you were working for, but would you know someone that knows someone that could sell us get plain gauge (25mm diameter) titanium tubing in c.1m lengths? Preferably for less than about £80 each? A few of us polo guys are going through ski poles (aka mallet handles) a bit quick and I thought you might know some guys who had off cuts lying around.

They might let you walk out with a few kg of the stuff (I hear it's not much more expensive than steel in billet form), but I doubt you'll be getting away with butted, form seat stays!

For a second there I was really struggling to work out who you were or what you meant, but I've figured it out now! The websites were bhphotovideo.com and adorama.com

Have fun in where ever you are going (Nebraska? Nevada?), just bring me some titani-yum as you want! Give me a shout in October and we'll sort out some street riding on our mini-MTBs.
